Broadcasting Vocational Schools

Broadcasting vocational schools introduce students to the exciting world of visual and audio media--television, radio, and the Internet. Broadcasting trade schools encompass educational programs that are geared toward newscasts designed to reach a wide audience and keep the general population informed about social issues, events, films, and all aspects of media relations.

Furthermore, a broadcasting education focuses on the creative, technical, and business aspects of the industry. Students learn the skills of announcing, videotaping, editing, producing, and directing for TV and radio, and how to operate radio and TV equipment.

There are many careers available to graduates of Broadcasting Trade School, including on-air, administrative, and technical positions. Entry-level jobs include master control operator, production assistant, sales rep, editor, and videographer. Behind the scenes, producers and directors are responsible for the content and production values of the broadcast. A position such as a newscaster or talk show host would be at the top of the on-air chain.

Because each media outlet has its own style of communication, some actually prefer individuals with no professional broadcasting experience! Many entry-level positions are available as internships, although they are often unpaid. A degree in journalism, communications or production can help you to break into the field, but it's not always necessary. Broadcasting Vocational School is your best bet for a well-rounded broadcasting education.

The salary range for broadcasting professionals is very broad, ranging from a low of $17,500 for an entry-level position, to $70,000 or more for top positions.

If you love to communicate, have a desire to be involved with your local community, and like to stay current with local and world news, a career in broadcasting might be right for you.

If you are interested in learning more about broadcasting, a broadcasting vocational school can help you take that first step to a new career!
